Pastor L. Henderson Bell began his preaching ministry in September of 1972 under the ministerial tutelage of Dr. E.G. Shields, pastor of the Mount Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri. He has served as the pastor of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for 33 years. Pastor Bell, a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi, completed his elementary education in the Coahoma County School District. In 1973–74 he also attended Missouri Baptist College. Upon leaving St. Louis, Pastor Bell continued his education at Coahoma Junior College in Clarksdale, Mississippi, with a major in Sociology. At this time he also accepted his first pastorate with the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
PASTOR RONALD LINDSAY
Pastor Ronald Lindsay of the Concord Fortress of Hope Church in Kansas City, Missouri, is a compassionate, educated, and insightful spiritual leader with over 22 years of ministry experience. Leading the Concord Fortress of Hope Church together with a dedicated team, Pastor Ronald Lindsay provides a variety of ministries for families, children, and individuals. Commissioned to preach Christ to the underprivileged in the Ruskin Heights-Hickman Mills area and its neighboring communities, Pastor Ronald Lindsay is devoted to lifting up spiritual and physical standard of living through the Power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Ronald Lindsay’s church strives to equip its members with spiritual tools and resources to do extraordinary things for God and their community through the power of the Holy Spirit. Concord Fortress of Hope Church offers numerous ministries and programs designed to serve its varied membership, including ministries for children, teens and young adults, singles and couples, and families of all sizes.
DON MAXWELL SR

Don Maxwell Sr. is one of the Founding Members of the Prospect Business Association. He also serves as President of The Prospect Business Association and Owner/Manager of The Linwood Shopping Center. Mr. Maxwell was educated in the Kansas City, Public schools. He is an alumni of the University of Missouri at Kansas City having earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology. He also earned his master’s degree from the University of Central Michigan in public administration and management.
Maxwell has served as president of Community Development Corporation of Kansas City for over 20 years. Using a combination of public and private financing, leveraged over $100,000,000 for housing, social services, commercial development and industrial development. Some of the 75 enterprises included Builder’s Block Cement manufacturing plant, Alpha Plastics plastic molding and injection plant, three shopping center at the corner of Linwood and Prospect, Metro Shopping Center, Seven Oaks Shopping Center, Cake Box Bakery, Palestine Housing and Metropolitan Housing.
Maxwell served as President of Dell Associates Corporation and capitalized Celebrity Chevrolet Auto Dealership, Linwood Goodyear Service Center, Hilltop Correctional Center, Blue parkway Animal Hospital and Wing Busters Restaurants in Kansas City and Omaha, Nebraska. DELL Associates owned and operated KCXL a.m. radio station. Maxwell has served on over thirty policy boards of directors, public and private, national and local institutions and have provided goods and services to socially deprived and underrepresented people in Kansas City and impoverished communities around the nation.
Maxwell is married to Jewel Maxwell and had three adult children, Rodney, Donald E and Dominique.
ELBERT L. ANDERSON

Elbert L. Anderson is one of the founding members of The Prospect Business Association. Mr Anderson was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and grew up in Eudora, Kansas, where he attended elementary and high school. He graduated from Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas, with a degree in liberal arts.
After college, Elbert was employed by the following: Mobil Oil Company Credit Card Center and Field Sales, Hallmark Cards product management, Kansas City Council on crime prevention executive director, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Mid-America Vice President, corporate affairs.
After a successful career at Coca-Cola, Anderson started his own business in marketing and public relations. His firm called Group 53, employed over twenty people. In 2002, he began his current firm of AAI, LLC.
He has served on the Board of Trustees of Baker University, Port Authority of Kansas City, The Enshriners of Kansas City Missouri and was one of the early organizers of the Ad Hoc Group Against Crime and the Prospect Business Association.

Sheryl Vickers, the owner of Select Sites Commercial Real Estate, founded Select Sites LLC in 2005. Sheryl is a 22 year veteran of retail brokerage specializing in tenant representation and mixed-use shopping center and entertainment district leasing. Sheryl started her leasing career in the multifamily sector in Dallas, Texas in 1990. She moved into retail shopping center and entertainment district work in 1996, holding brokerage positions at RED Brokerage, Block and Company, Copaken-Brooks and Merrill Companies.
Sheryl is licensed in Kansas and Missouri and earned her CCIM designation, in 2005. CCIM designees are recognized as the leading experts in commercial investment real estate globally. She is also a member of the Kansas City Business Magazine’s Kansas City’s Influential Women group, Class of 2011, and was named as a Power Broker in Retail Leasing for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017 by the Costar Group. Sheryl is a board member of the Prospect Business Association and also chairs its Economic Development Sub-Committee. Sheryl is on the CoStar Group Advisory Board and is also on the 2017 KCRAR Board of Directors. Sheryl was recently appointed to serve on the 2018 KCRAR Diversity Committee and Commercial Steering Committee Advisory Group. She enjoys dedicating her time to mentor up-and-coming commercial real estate novices whenever possible. Sheryl is the co-founder of Women in Real Estate (WIRED), a women’s mentoring and investment group.
She is currently working in collaboration with Clemons Real Estate in the Kansas City urban core to redevelop districts like the Linwood Shopping Center, The Shops on Blue Parkway, Linden Square, One North, and the Troost Corridor while still representing tenants who are looking to expand in the Kansas City and surrounding markets.

Ajamu K. Webster is president of Dubious Consultants, Inc. Mr Webster started Dubious in 1988. A Los Angeles, California native served as a project engineer at Butler Construction Company and a structural engineer for local giant Burns and McDonnell. His leadership is integral to the recent strategic focus and growth of the company. His attention to detail assures thoroughness and quality in each project. Mr. Webster has over 38 years of engineering experience with water and wastewater facilities, with emphasis on analysis and inspection, structural design, rehabilitation, and renovation.
Between creating strategies, fine tuning tactics, and leading his design teams, Ajamu dedicates much of his time inspiring future engineers in the Kansas City community through various engagement and outreach efforts through his firm. His serve is also extended through several city boards and commissions where he served as a Parks Board Commissioner, through mayoral appointment, for the City of Kansas City Missouri Parks and Recreation and the Missouri Training and Employment Commission. His most recent mayoral appointment is with the City of Kansas City Economic Development Corporation Board, where he serves as the vice chair of the Loan Corp Committee.

Myeisha Greene is a native of Kansas City with a background in sales and marketing. Myeisha gravitated towards real estate and applied her creative talents on leasing, property management, and investor relations. Myeisha is an active broker-associate and co-owner of TREH KC, LLC, a leasing/property management company in Kansas City. She is also a Real Estate investor, understanding the importance of making a return, and can help new and moderate investors expand their portfolios. In addition to investing, Myeisha enjoys educating and encouraging her peers to purchase real estate as a means to begin the process to build wealth. DR. KAREN CURLS, PHD

For the past 11 years, Dr. Karen Curls presently has held the position of Social Science Division Chair for Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley Campus. The Social Science Division that she oversees holds the majority of the general education classes and is the division where most of the transfer credits are derived. She is fondly known across the Social Science Division and the entire organization for her superb leadership. Her commitment to higher education is evidenced by her participation in the Oxford Roundtable, in Oxford, England, and her receipt of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Curls epitomizes the mission of Metropolitan Community College—Penn Valley, “Preparing Students, Serving Communities, Creating Opportunities”.
Dr. Curl’s value of education is demonstrated by her exceptional academic accomplishments. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, education specialist degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Master of Arts from the University of Central Missouri and her Bachelor of Arts from Park University.
Devoted to bettering the Kansas City community and advocating for improvements in the urban core, Dr. Curls is a member of Freedom, Inc. (Membership Committee), Jackson County Jail Task Force (September 2015) and the Urban Summit. She serves as a consult to community and economic development organizations for the stabilization and redevelopment of urban communities. Dr. Curls is also known for creating the Civil Rights Pilgrimage that engages students and the broader community in the legal and historic study of the southern civil rights movement.

Bryne Criminal Justice Innovation (BCJI0). The State of Missouri Department of Economic Development Division of Workforce Development, First Call Alcohol / Drug Prevention & Recovery, Jackson County C.O.M.B.A.T., Center for Conflict Resolution and New Reflections Technical Institute to join local business owners, community members, youth, KCPD and individuals who hang out at the intersection to participate in the interactive arts project. Resource providers will be set up on sight alongside free food and entertainment, while we continue to create the mural.
CRT is a community effort developed as a result of a federal grant awarded to KC No Violence Alliance to build improved community-law enforcement relations in the Prospect Avenue corridor. The group includes the leaders of seven neighborhood associations in that area, as well as other community leaders, police, prosecutors and social service providers.
